Gary Sutton grew up working in his family’s paint contracting business where he learned about surface preparation and coating application the hard way. In 1987, Gary began working for the technical services department of a major industrial coating manufacturer. There he learned more about the composition of the products he had applied, how they protect, and which products to use for protection in any given environment. In addition, Gary has been a two-term SSPC chapter chairman and an SSPC convention speaker. His knowledge and years of rich experience ensure the promise that PCS is capable of assisting you with all of your project and training needs. 

Gary Sutton’s expertise is built on a solid foundation which includes the following:

• Involvement with SSPC and ASTM in the development of standards 
• Technical Services training by a major paint and coating manufacturer
•  Experienced in failure analysis and analytical laboratory testing
•  Decades of managerial involvement in the paint and coatings industry 
•  Mentoring hundreds of successful paint applicators
•  Hands-on work experience in the contracting world
•  Multiple certifications as well as NACE Coating Inspection and SSPC Concrete Coating Inspection  
• Former ASTM Sub-Committee Chairman D01.61 Paint Application Tools, and  ASTM D01.90 Executive Committee Member
